After enjoying popularity in Europe for years, quartz countertops are gaining new attention in the U.S. Today’s quartz countertops are actually a combination of natural quartz and sandstone. The resulting material, called “quartzite,” provides a surface that is stain-, heat-, chip-, scratch-, and bacteria-resistant; easy to clean; and durable. The array of colors and textures available in quartz countertops ranges from bold, bright shades to subtle, stone-like patterns. Stone Projects works with soapstone and slate as well. We are also an authorized fabricator for Quartz engineered products for kitchen countertops, such as Silestone, HanStone, Zodiaq, Caesarstone, and Viatera.
